Winter is a particularly difficult time.
Whether having to purchase blankets and bedding, buying suitable
clothing or food that can provide warmth and comfort, or increasing
usage of gas and electricity, living through winter means increased
costs. And for many Victorians, they simply cannot afford to
keep warm.
There are tens of thousands of Victorians currently living in
hardship. VicRelief Foodbank provides vital assistance to families
and individuals who are struggling as a result of drought,
bushfire, unemployment, and rent or mortgage stress.
Support is also given to asylum seekers, victims of domestic
violence, people who are homeless, people with limited incomes due
to a genuine inability to work and aged-pensioners.
How you can help
Your donation will be used to help provide blankets and bedding
or to purchase essential foods to help keep people warm.
$20 can help VicRelief Foodbank purchase a new
blanket
$50 can help VicRelief Foodbank provide a tailored hamper
with enough food to feed a family of four for a week.
Further amounts will help us to help more, but any donation you
can make would be greatly appreciated.
